| Wayne Barker, Superintendent
In July of 1995, Wayne Barker joined Bluffton-Harrison M.S.D. as Assistant Principal and Head Boys Basketball Coach at Bluffton High School. On August 14, 2009 he was named Superintendent of B.H.M.S.D.
Prior to coming to Bluffton, Mr. Barker taught business education and coached basketball at Cowan High School during the 1994-1995 school year. He began his teaching and coaching career at Carroll High School in 1989 and served there through 1994.
Mr. Barker graduated from Ball State University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business education. He earned his Master of Science in Administrative Leadership from Indiana-Purdue University at Fort Wayne in 1998. He earned his Educational Specialist (Ed. S.) degree from Indiana University – Bloomington in December 2006 and received his Superintendent’s License in August of 2009.
He holds active memberships in the Indiana Association of School Principals, National Association of School Principals, Indiana School Safety Specialists Academy, Indiana Basketball Coaches Association (current Past-President), and Life Community Church.
Wayne and his wife, Ingrid, have two children, Taylor and Collin, who attend Bluffton-Harrison schools. |

Brad Yates, Business Manager/Transportation Director
Brad Yates joined the Bluffton-Harrison MSD staff as a vocational business education teacher at the high school in 2006. Mr. Yates coached boys' basketball at various levels from 2004-2010 and girls' basketball in 2010-2011. In July of 2011, Mr. Yates became the Business Manager and Transportation Director for the district. Mr. Yates, a 2002 graduate of Bluffton High School, earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Education from Ball State University in 2006. He earned his Master of Science in Administrative Leadership from Indiana-Purdue University at Fort Wayne in 2009.
Mr. Yates and his wife, Jessica, live in Bluffton with their four children, Bailey, Addison, Deacon, and Liam.

| Steve Baker, Principal Bluffton High School
Steve Baker began his career at BHMSD in 1985 teaching high school math for eleven years. Mr. Baker then spent three years as the middle school assistant principal before becoming the high school principal in the fall of 1999. Mr. Baker earned his undergraduate degree in secondary mathematics from Bethel College, his Master's in Education from IPFW, and his license in secondary administration from IPFW.

 | Tom Gibson, Principal Bluffton-Harrison Middle School
Mr. Gibson joined the Bluffton-Harrison MSD staff as a fourth grade teacher in August 1971. He taught fourth grade at East Side Elementary for fourteen years. Mr. Gibson was named principal at Columbian Elementary in 1985 where he also taught third and fourth grade art. In August of 1992 he returned to East Side Elementary as principal. In 1994, construction to enlarge East Side Elementary began in order for Columbian to consolidate with East Side Elementary. On February 5, 1996, the enlarged Bluffton-Harrison Elementary was dedicated. Mr. Gibson earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Ball State in 1971, a Master's Degree in Elementary Education in 1975, and a Master's of Elementary Administration in 1985. |

Julie Meitzler, Principal Bluffton-Harrison Elementary School
Mrs. Julie Meitzler joined the Bluffton-Harrison MSD staff as a third grade teacher in August 1986. She has taught grades two, three, and four for 18 years and has served as an administrator for seven years and is in her second year as principal at Bluffton-Harrison Elementary School. Mrs. Meitzler earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University in 1986 and has since earned her Master's Degree and obtained her Administrator's License from IPFW. Mrs. Meitzler has taught multiple semesters at IPFW in the education department and has been a consultant for Smekens' Education and has served on a curriculum committee for the Indiana Department of Education.
Julie resides in Bluffton with her husband, Mike and is a mother of two children, Jessica is an IPFW graduate working in Fort Wayne and her son Mitchel is a freshman at IUPUI.

Stacy Morrison, Assistant Principal Bluffton High School
Stacy Morrison joined the Bluffton-Harrison MSD staff as a business education teacher at the high school in 1996. Mrs. Morrison coached softball from 1996-1999 and volleyball from 1996-2001. Mrs. Morrison has also served as the Business Professionals of America advisor from 2004-2009 and has served as a co-advisor to the Bluffton High School Student Council since 2003.
Mrs. Morrison earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Education from Saint Francis College in 1995, a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision in 2008, and her Director of Career and Technical Education license in 2009 from Ball State University.
Mrs. Morrison and her husband, Jason, have two daughters, Hunter and Zoe.

 | Rick Mettler, Assistant Principal Bluffton-Harrison Middle School
Rick Mettler joined the Bluffton-Harrison MSD staff as a 7th grade social studies teacher in the fall of 1998 after earning his Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Indiana University – Purdue University at Fort Wayne. In the fall of 2006, after earning a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Ball State University, he was named Assistant Principal at the Bluffton-Harrison Middle School. In addition to his Assistant Principal duties, he is currently the girl’s high school softball head coach: a position he has held since 1999.

 | Steve Thompson, Athletic Director
Steve Thompson joined the Bluffton-Harrison MSD staff as a business education teacher at the high school and middle school in 2001. In July 2006 Mr. Thompson was named Athletic Director. He began coaching in various capacities beginning in 1992 including three years in football, two years in baseball, and nine years in basketball. Mr. Thompson earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Education from Ball State in 2001, a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision in 2005, and completed an administrative internship at the high school and elementary school during the 2005-2006 school years. |
