Level: Credit: 1 Prerequisite: Access to Digital Camera and Photo Paper
Is it time for you to “go digital” in photography? Explore the exciting field of digital photography. Learn how cameras work, both digital and film. Learn the different camera controls (shutter speed and F-stops) and how they affect pictures. Learn photo composition techniques and a variety of photo editing and special effect techniques using Photoshop Elements. Photo activities include still life setup, action photography, portrait, nature and existing light photography to name a few. Individual photo assignments will be printed on digital photo paper with ink jet printers. Students will create a powerpoint portfolio of their favorite photos and burn them to a CD. Only requirement is access to a digital camera and photo paper.
