Health Screenings

Periodic vision, hearing, and postural (scoliosis) screenings are conducted throughout each student's school career. As mandated by Indiana Code, screenings are conducted as follows

Vision: Grades K or 1, 3, 5, and 8
Hearing: Grades 1, 4, 7, and 10
New Kindergarten and 1st grade students new to the school system are required by State law to have a minimum of an MCT vision exam by an optometrist before entering school.

Cold Weather Alert

Cold weather has arrived, and with it comes some danger. Two threats resulting from cold weather are frostbite and hypothermia.

Cold weather can pose health threats, but if proper precautions are followed, those threats can be minimized.
